COMET granted 80% of a total budget of $65,000 to ATPL to develop the OTCI beyond the prototype stage and to conduct market research.

The final stage of the COMET agreement involved Australian and international patenting of the software and process.
We have now gained our Australian patent and have a provisional International patent application being processed. We have fulfilled our contract with COMET and have since secured funding on a similar basis with a State Government Organisation, ISUS (Innovation Start-Up Scheme) The ISUS Grant has been won by verityVR Pty Ltd, the commercialisation arm of Anderson Technologies Pty Ltd to develop a business model through a real-world implementation of the technology.
The ISUS grant will help to develop the business model of the OTCI VR system and will deliver a simulation of an aboriginal village before the arrival of European man in Australia. The simualtion is to be installed at the Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame long term resident, The Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Smithfield, just north of Cairns.
